NEPSE Index Witnesses 1.01% Uptick; BHL Tops Turnover with Record-Breaking 86.7 Lakh Shares Traded

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 27.14 points (1.01%) to close at 2,689.22. This follows an 8.62-point loss in the previous session.
The index opened at 2,678.52, reaching an intraday high of 2,704.58 and a low of 2,669.22. The total turnover stood at Rs. 8.54 Arba, with 21,841,047 shares exchanged across 320 companies through 69,364 transactions.
Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) topped the turnover chart with a record-breaking 8,678,225 shares traded, amounting to Rs. 2.01 Arba. The stock closed at Rs. 229.70.
Four companies topped the gainers' list, hitting 10% each.
Meanwhile, Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.69%.
Among sectors, the Investment Index posted the highest gain of 2.71%, whereas the Trading Index saw the highest decline of 0.64%.
