NEPSE Loses 17.23 Points to Settle at 2,070.84 Levels: SONA Sees Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 17.23 points, or 0.82%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,070.84 points. The previous trading day saw a double digit loss of 21.03 points for the index as well.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2089.89, hitting an intraday low of 2,055.35, and reaching an intraday high of 2,109.35.

During today's trading, there were 307 different stocks traded in 117,476 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 14,337,738 with a total turnover of Rs. 5.24 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.16 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.12 Kharba.

 

Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 19.66 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 415.10.

 

Similarly, today's highest gainer are  Nepal Insurance Co. Ltd. (NICL), Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS), Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited (MEHL),  Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited (CKHL) at 10%. Following the line are NWCL and VLUCL at 9.98%.

 

On the flip side, BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (BPW) experienced the highest loss of 10%. Followed by Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) at 9.99%.

 

In terms of sector indices, all the sectors closed in red except for "Mutual Fund, Non Life Insurance". The "Non Life Insurance" saw the highest gain of 1.16%, while the "Trading Index" saw a loss of 2.32%.
