NEPSE Loses 20.76 Points to Close Red for 5th Consecutive Day; SAMAJ Hit Positive Circuit Today As Well

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index recorded a decrease of 20.76 points or 1.02% from the previous day's closing, settling at 2,005.83 points. The index had incurred a loss of 6.46 points in the trading session before.

At the commencement of today's trading, the market initiated with the index at 2,027.57, reaching an intraday peak of 2,030.40 and encountering a low of 2,000.55.

During today's trading session, a total of 309 different stocks were traded in 77,833 transactions. The volume of shares traded totaled 9,518,075, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 3.20 Arba. The market capitalization was reported at Rs. 31.53 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.80 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, amassing Rs. 14.87 crores and ending the day with a market price of Rs. 622.50.

On a positive note, Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) witnessed positive circuits today.

However, Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) experienced the most significant decline, marking a loss of 7.60%.

In sector indices, Two sectors indices closed in the green today. The "Manufacturing And Processing Index" saw the highest gain of 1.14%, while the "HydroPower Index" experienced a loss of 1.90%.
