NEPSE Loses 5.31 Points; Intraday Turnover Declined to Rs 3.21 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 5.31 points, or 0.25%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,061.70 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 30.92 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,067.47 hitting an intraday low of 2,053.46, and reaching an intraday high of 2,072.90.

During today's trading, there were 307 different stocks traded in 70,790 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 9,272,782 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.21 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.40 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.12 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 33.58 crore, and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 688.10.

 

Similarly, Unique Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (UNLB) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) with a gain of 9.46%.

On the flip side, Mahila Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBSL) experienced the highest loss of 5.37%.

 

In terms of sector indices, Four sector indices closed in green today. The "Development Bank Index" saw the highest gain of 0.66%, while the "Others Index" saw a loss of 1.04%.
