NEPSE Loses 6.26 Points; Intraday Turnover Declined to Rs 2.87 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight loss of 0.31%, or 6.26 points, settling at 2,012.07 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 17.30 points in the previous session.
Opening at 2,017.18, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,019.76 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,006.96.
With a bustling trading environment, 315 different stocks were exchanged in 63,015 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 7,290,200, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.87 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 31.90 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.76 Kharba.
Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 47.29 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 941.00.
Similarly, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) and Mai Khola Hydropower Limited (MKHL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Mahuli Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MSLB) with a gain of 9.44%.
Conversely, River Falls Power Limited (RFPL) faced a decline, losing 9.98% to close at Rs. 408.50.
In terms of sector, Two Sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Hotels And Tourism Index" leading with a gain of 1.16%. However, the "Finance Index" witnessed a decline of 0.66%.
