NEPSE Loses Double Digits to Close at 1,871.22; Intraday Turnover Stands at Rs. 97.17 Crores

The NEPSE index closed at 1,871.22 today after losing 27.16 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.43%. The index had gained 44.62 points yesterday.

The index opened at 1,901.25 and created the intraday high at 1,908.58. While it went as low as 1,866.83, it ultimately closed at 1,871.22.

233 scrips traded hands via 17,876 transactions. A total of 3,155,695 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 97.17 Crores in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 83.68 Crores.

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited Promoter (HEIP) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.58 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 251.10 per share.

Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AVYAN) gained the highest 9.99% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Garima Debenture, 2085 (GBBD85) lost the highest 8.13% today.

Only one sector closed green, "Mutual Fund" gained 0.84% while "Development Bank" lost the highest 2.65%.
