The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed an incline of 3.21 points today, an increase of 0.15%, closing at 2,066.16 points. This follows a loss of 5.37 points in the previous trading session.
The trading day commenced with the index at 2,063.09 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,079.36 points. The index experienced a low of 2,058.81 points before settling at the closing value of 2,066.16 points.
Today's trading session involved 322 stocks across 66,519 transactions, with a total trading volume of 10,707,878 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 5.07 Arba.
Mero Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (MERO) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 24.3 Crores and closing at Rs. 700.30 per share.
Two companies hit a positive circuit for the day, surging by 10% each.
Conversely, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) faced a significant loss, dropping by 7.01%.
In sector performance, six sector indices concluded the day in positive territory. The "Finance Index" recorded the highest sectoral gain of 2.11%, while the "Trading Index" saw the highest loss, declining by 0.42%.
