NEPSE Plummets 51.11 Points to Close at 2,702.65 Levels; NGPL Leads Turnover and Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 51.11 points (1.85%) today to close at 2,702.65. This sharp drop comes after a modest gain of 4.98 points in the previous session.

The market opened at 2,758.42 points and fluctuated throughout the day, hitting an intraday low of 2,696.42 and a high of 2,759.54. The day concluded with a total turnover of Rs. 10.46 Arba, generated from the trading of 22,588,247 shares across 310 companies in 105,827 transactions.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) stood out in trading activity, leading the turnover of Rs. 46.68 crores to close at Rs. 520. 

On the positive side, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) gained a maximum of 10%, hitting the positive circuit.

Despite its leading position in turnover, NGPL faced a steep decline of 8.93%, marking the day's largest loss.

Among sectoral performances, the "Hotels and Tourism Index" faced the heaviest blow, losing 3.17%. Meanwhile, the "Mutual Fund Index" recorded the smallest decline, slipping by just 0.15%.
