NEPSE Plummets by 54.62 Points, All Sectors Close in Red

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a significant drop today, shedding 53.04 points (2.04%) and closing at 2,614.68, following a decline of 12.38 points in the previous session.

The trading session commenced at 2,667.61, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,669.00 and a low of 2,614.09. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 6.32 Arba, encompassing 12,371,280 shares traded across 317 companies through 72,265 transactions. The market's total capitalization was Rs. 43.41 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.47 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 42.06 Crores, with its stock closing at Rs. 938.

NMB 50 (NMB50) emerged as the top gainer with a 3.94% increase.

Conversely, Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBBL) faced the steepest decline, dropping by 10% each.

Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the largest decline, falling 2.98%, while the Mutual Fund Index saw the smallest drop at 0.71%.
