NEPSE Rebounds After 6 Days of Decline, Surges by 78.17 Points to Close at 2,688.38 with Rs. 8.16 Arba Turnover

The NEPSE Index climbed by 78.17 points (2.99%) to close at 2,688.38, rebounding from the previous session's 22.73-point drop.

The session began at 2,625.46 points, hitting a low of 2,604.83 before reaching an intraday high of 2,688.52.

Market activity saw 318 companies traded through 103,462 transactions, with a total turnover of Rs. 8.16 Arba and 19,433,154 shares exchanged. The overall market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.74 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15 Kharba.

CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the day's turnover with Rs. 47.65 Crore, closing at Rs. 2,240 per share.

Five companies posted the highest gain of 10% each.

Meanwhile, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) faced the steepest decline, falling by 10%.

Sector-wise, the Mutual Index fell by 0.09%, while the Hydropower Index led the gains, rising 4.24%.
