NEPSE Rebounds by 26.10 Points, Snapping Six-Day Losing Streak; All Sector Indices Close Green

Breaking a six-day losing streak, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rebounded by 26.10 points (0.99%), closing at 2,640.78. This recovery follows a 53.04-point dip in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,610.46, fluctuating between an intraday high of 2,645.99 and a low of 2,592.32. The total turnover stood at Rs. 4.48 Arba, with 9,739,738 shares changing hands across 326 companies through 58,235 transactions.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording trades worth Rs. 32.69 Crores, with its stock closing at Rs. 966.60.

Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) topped the gainers’ list with a 9.51% surge.

Meanwhile, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) recorded the steepest drop, sliding 4.26%.#

Sector-wise, the Finance Index posted the highest gain of 3.52%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index edged up by 0.44%.
