The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a minimal incline today, rising by 5.10 points (0.19%) to close at 2,581.60. This follows a double-digit drop of 33.08 points in the previous trading session.
The market opened at 2,577.43 and demonstrated volatility throughout the day, with an intraday high of 2,589.42 and a low of 2,567.97. The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.59 Arba, achieved through 43,729 transactions involving 9,434,009 shares of 305 listed companies.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) dominated the turnover leaderboard, registering trades worth Rs. 21.82 crores and closing at Rs. 1,048.5 per share.
On the gainers' front, Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (TVCL) emerged as the top performer, posting a 10% increase in its share price.
Conversely, Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMB) suffered a steep decline of 10%.
Sectoral performance revealed that the Banking Index bore the brunt of the fall, slumping by 0.72%, while the Finance Index saw a significant rise of 3.87%.
