NEPSE Sees Highest Gain of 45.98 Points In Almost 5 Months: 11 Companies Hits Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 45.98 points, or 2.23%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,106.48 points. This is the highest points NEPSE recorded in almost five months. The previous trading day saw a gain of 38.14 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2065.06, hitting an intraday low of 2,053.27, and reaching an intraday high of 2,107.32.

During today's trading, there were 313 different stocks traded in 99,641 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 16,457,138 with a total turnover of Rs. 5.98 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.61 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.29 Kharba.

 

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 37.43 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 594.

 

Similarly, Eleven companies hit the positive circuit for today, including all the cement companies.

 

On the flip side, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme - 2 (SIGS2) experienced the highest loss of 7.26% today.

 

In terms of sector indices, all the sectors closed in green. The "Hotels And Tourism Index" saw the highest gain of 6.94%, while the "Finance Index" saw a least gain of 0.42%.
