The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a decline of 4.62 points today, a decrease of 0.21%, closing at 2,136.35 points. This follows a gain of 21.27 points in the previous trading session.
The trading day commenced with the index at 2,143.95 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,149.19 points. The index experienced a low of 2,128.72 points before settling at the closing value of 2,136.35 points.
Today's trading session involved 324 stocks across 59,974 transactions, with a total trading volume of 10,475,181 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 4.56 Arba with a market capitalization of Rs. 33.88 Kharba and a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.57 Kharba.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 28.7 Crores and closing at Rs. 724 per share.
Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) gained the highest for the day, surging by 9.68%.
Conversely, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) lost the highest 8.39% today.
In sector performance, three sector indices concluded the day in positive territory. The "Hotels and Tourism Index" recorded the highest sectoral loss of 0.95%, while the "Microfinance Index" saw the highest gain, inclining by 0.92%.
