NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Double Digit Gain; Turnover Highest In Almost 2 Years

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 54.54 points, or 2.57%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,175.17 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 31.62 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,125.2 hitting an intraday low of 2,125.11, and reaching an intraday high of 2,178.37.

During today's trading, there were 304 different stocks traded in 133,061 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 23,370,053 with a total turnover of Rs. 8.02 Arba, this is the highest turnover in almost 2 years. Last time on 3rd February 2022, the turnover was Rs. 8.16 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 34.16 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.81 Kharba.


Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 28.31 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 554.

 

Similarly, Twelve companies hit the positive circuit for today.

 

On the flip side, Jyoti Bikash Bank Bond 2087 (JBBD87) experienced the highest loss of 9.99%.

 

In terms of sector indices, all the sectors closed in green today. The "Finance Index" saw the highest gain of 4.75%, while the "Mutual Fund" saw the lowest gain of 0.78%.
