NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Double-Digit Loss; Only Manufacturing Closed In Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 14.46 points, or 0.69%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,062.03 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 5.91 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,075.62 hitting an intraday low of 2,055.72, and reaching an intraday high of 2,077.10.

During today's trading, there were 305 different stocks traded in 81,056 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 11,407,264 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.86 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.41 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.12 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 22.85 crores, and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 655.70.

 

Similarly, Five companies hit the positive circuit for today. Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) has maintained a positive circuit for eight consecutive trading days, while Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited (BNL) also recorded a positive circuit today.

 

On the flip side, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) experienced the highest loss of 5.70%.

 

Among the sector indices, only the "Manufacturing and Processing Index" closed positively today, gaining the highest at 0.15%, while the "Finance Index" recorded the most significant loss of 2.71%, contrasting with yesterday's notable gain of 6.56%.
