NEPSE Settles Today's Session With Minimal 4.78 Points Gain; SARBTM Sees Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight gain of 0.23%, or 4.78 points, settling at 2,035.64 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 10.83 points in the previous session.
Opening at 2,033.42, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,039.34 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,023.13.
With a bustling trading environment, 313 different stocks were exchanged in 53,619 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 6,614,445, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 2.65 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.27 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.86 Kharba.
Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 19.37 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 1,082.70.
Similarly, Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) with a gain of 9.96%.
Conversely, Two companies hit a negative circuit for today.
In terms of sector, Five Sector Indices concluded in negative territory, with the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" leading with a gain of 2.40%. However, the "Non-Life Insurance Index" witnessed a decline of 0.66%.
