NEPSE slides by double digit; loses 10.46 points settling at 1,400.05 points with declined turnover of Rs 30.78 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has depreciated today by 10.46 points or 0.74% to close at 1,400.05 points.
Today, the only local bourse of the country had opened at 1,410.51 points and was seen in downward trend throughout the day which ultimately dragged the NEPSE index to end in red zone.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 30.78 crore where more than 9.15 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,894 transactions.
Shares of Sanima Mai Hydro Limited (SHPC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as more than Rs 3.39 crore worth of its shares were traded today. In addition, over 84 thousand unit shares of the same company exchanged their ownership today making it the highest traded company as well.
Scrips of Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank (NNLB) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 3.41% to Rs 2399. On the other hand, shares of Guheshowori Merchant Bank & Finance (GMFIL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by 5.76% to Rs 147.
Both the Sensitive and float index went down today by 2.15 points and 0.77 points respectively.
All the trading groups that trade at NEPSE lost their points today and landed in red. Insurance sector that lost a massive 84.81 points stood as the top loser of the day which was followed by hydropower that shredded 30.20 points.
