NEPSE Slumps Below 2000 To Close at 1998.96 Levels; Three Companies Hit Positive Circuit Today

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 0.36%, or 7.31 points, settling at 1,998.96 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 25.93 points in the previous session.
Opening at 2,025.79, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,026.62 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,995.49.
With a bustling trading environment, 308 different stocks were exchanged in 64,181 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 9,498,298 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.13 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.69 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.73 Kharba.
IME Life Insurance Company Limited (ILI) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 28.77 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 568.10. On the same day, IME Life Insurance Company Limited proposed dividends.
Similarly, Three companies hit the positive circuit for today.
Conversely, People's Power Limited (PPL) faced a decline, losing 8.21% to close at Rs. 615.00.
In terms of sector, Two sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Microfinance Index" leading with a gain of 3.45%. However, the "Development Bank Index" witnessed a decline of 2.03%.
