Nepse Soars Above the Psychological Benchmark of 2000: Marking a Crucial Achievement

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index recorded an increase of 9.34 points or 0.46% from the previous day's closing, settling at 2,001.64 points. The index had incurred a gain of 13.28 points in the trading session before.

At the commencement of today's trading, the market initiated with the index at 1,992.7, reaching an intraday peak of 2,007.85 and encountering a low of 1,980.43.

During today's trading session, a total of 308 different stocks were traded in 40,951 transactions. The volume of shares traded totaled 5,239,416, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 1.86 Arba. The market capitalization was reported at Rs. 31.46 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.76 Kharba.

 

Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) led in turnover, amassing Rs. 14.19 crores and concluding the day with a market price of Rs. 451.50.

 

On a positive note, Two companies witnessed positive circuits today.

On the flip side, Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited (CKHL) experienced the highest loss of 5.06%.

 

In sector indices, Six sectors indices closed in the red today. The "Manufacturing And Processing Index" saw the highest gain of 3.52%, while the "Finance Index" experienced a loss of 0.28%.
