NEPSE Spikes Up By 52.97 Points While Turnover Climed to Rs. 7.62 Arba; RIDI and MANDU Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a substantial increase of 52.97 points, or 2.40%, closing at 2,257.59 points today. This follows a 29.21-point rise in the previous trading session, highlighting a period of strong market performance.
Today the index opened at 2,239.41 and recorded an intraday low of 2,230.50. The index climbed to an intraday high of 2,290.95 before closing at 2,257.59.
Today's trading session saw a bustling environment with 309 stocks exchanged across 96,274 transactions. The volume of shares traded reached 22,047,327, culminating in a total turnover of Rs. 7.62 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 35.80 Kharba, and the float market capitalization was Rs. 12.26 Kharba.
Janaki Finance Limited (JFL) emerged as the market leader in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 24.27 Crores and closing at Rs. 825 per share.
Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) and Mandu Hydropower Limited (MANDU) also made significant strides, hitting the positive circuit for the day with a 10% surge each.
In contrast, 10.15% Prime Debenture 2084 (PBD84) saw the highest loss, declining by 4.12%.
Sector-wise, all indices concluded the day in positive territory. The Banking Index recorded the highest gain, rising by 3.74%, while the Microfinance Index saw a loss of 0.82%.
