NEPSE Spirals Down 48 Points In Last 3 Trading Days; CLI Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 0.79%, or 15.62 points, settling at 1,958.75 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 24.58 points in the previous session.
Opening at 1,980.23, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 1,980.81 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,952.63.
With a bustling trading environment, 310 stocks were exchanged in 48,709 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 6,978,321 with a total turnover of Rs. 2.89 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.05 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.51 Kharba.
Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited (CLI) emerged as the day's highlight with a turnover of Rs. 31.98 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 463.10. On the same day, Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited proposed dividends.
Similarly, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT) showed the highest gain of 9.03%, followed by Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited (MHNL) with an increase of 8.52% each.
Conversely, Two companies hit a negative circuit for today.
In terms of sector, Only one sector Index concluded in positive territory, with the "Development Bank Index" leading with a gain of 0.23%. However, the "Finance Index" witnessed a decline of 1.96%.
