NEPSE stands at 1134.79 points after gaining 2.40 points today; Everest Bank Preference Shares continue to lose value

The market today gained 0.21% or 2.40 points as the benchmark index stood at 1134.79 points. The turnover was worth Rs.16.52 Crore achieved through trade of 645,453 units of shares traded through 3,235 transactions trading 155 scrips of listed companies in the process.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) posted the highest turnover today worth Rs.1.32 Crore with LTP at Rs.756 per share. Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 39,010 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stood at Rs.264 per share.

Laxmi Equity Fund (LEF) was today’s top gainer as it gained 5.30% and closed at Rs.6.96 per unit. Preference Shares of Everest Bank (EBLCP) were top losers today as well after losing 4.96% or 32 points. The LTP of the scrip stood at Rs.613 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.50 points and closed at 248.49 points while Float Index gained 0.27 points and closed at 84.15 points.

Hotels, Finance, Non-Life Insurance, Others and Mutual Funds were among the losing sectors today while the remaining sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
