NEPSE Suffers Double-Digit Decline, Drops Over 105 Points in Two Days; Market Cap at Rs. 41.97 Kharba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,639.92 points today, registering a sharp decline of 57.99 points (2.14%) compared to the previous day's close. This follows a substantial drop of 47.44 points in the prior session, marking a cumulative loss of 105.43 points in just two trading days.
The trading session began at 2,698.71 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,700.82 and a low of 2,635.43.
A total of 319 stocks were traded across 72,425 transactions, with 13,863,443 shares changing hands, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 5.9 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 41.97 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 14.82 Kharba.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover charts, recording Rs. 22.03 crores, closing at Rs. 855.
Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) was the top gainer, climbing by 9.98%.
Meanwhile, Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) witnessed the steepest drop, losing 9.20%.
All sector indices ended in red, with the Finance Index suffering the biggest loss of 3.38%, while the Trading sector saw the smallest decline of 0.28%.
