NEPSE Surges By 9.09 Points; Development Bank Index Leads Sectoral Growth

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) posted a modest gain of 9.09 points (0.33%) today, closing at 2,711.75. This recovery follows a sharp loss of 51.11 points in the previous session.

The market opened at 2,705.17 and exhibited volatility throughout the day, with an intraday low of 2,683.79 and a high of 2,713.93. A total turnover of Rs. 7.09 Arba was recorded from 15,464,552 shares traded across 323 companies in 74,303 transactions.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) led trading activity with a turnover of Rs. 32.81 crores, closing at Rs. 519.90.

Notably, seven scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.

On the downside, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) suffered a 10% loss, marking the day's steepest decline.

Sector-wise, the "Development Bank Index" led the gain, climbing 3.38%, while "Manufacturing and Processing" saw a minimal dip of 0.21 points.
