NEPSE to Remain Closed on Thursday, Govt Declares Public Holiday on The Occasion of Constitution Day

The Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday for today, Thursday (Ashwin 3), in celebration of Constitution Day.

As a result, the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed for the day. Regular trading is set to resume on Sunday, Ashwin 6, 2080, at 11:00 AM.

This day commemorates the promulgation of the constitution by the people's representatives through the Constituent Assembly on Ashwin 3, 2072 BS. The current constitution is Nepal's seventh written constitution, which focuses on establishing socialism by securing the citizens' socioeconomic and cultural rights.
