Eid al-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to Allah. According to the Holy Quran, Allah commanded Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in a dream, and Ibrahim, unwavering in his faith, prepared to fulfill this command. Moved by Ibrahim's devotion, Allah provided a lamb to be sacrificed instead. This event is considered a test of Ibrahim's faith, which he steadfastly passed. Since then, Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid al-Adha by sacrificing an animal as a symbol of their devotion to Allah. This day, also called Bakra Eid, is cherished by the Muslim community, who gather joyfully with friends and family to commemorate their faith, loyalty, and obedience to God's will.
