NEPSE to Remain Closed Today, Govt Declares Public Holiday on The Occasion of Indra Jatra

The Government of Nepal has announced a public holiday for Thursday (Today) i.e. on 11th Ashwin on the occasion of the 'Indra Jatra' festival of Newars.
Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed to mark Indra Jatra. Regular trading will resume in NEPSE from (14th Ashwin, 2080) at 11:00 AM.
Indra Jātrā, also known as Yenyā, is the biggest religious street festival in Kathmandu, Nepal. The celebrations consist of two events, Indra Jātrā and Kumāri Jātrā. Indra Jātrā is marked by masked dances of deities and demons, displays of sacred images, and tableaus in honor of the deity Indra, the king of heaven.
