NEPSE to Remain Closed Today, Govt Declares Public Holiday on The Occasion of Rama Navami

The Government of Nepal has announced a public holiday for Sunday (today), the 24th of Chaitra, on the occasion of 'Rama Navami'.

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed to mark Rama Navami. Regular trading will resume on Monday (25th Chaitra, 2081) at 11:00 AM.

Rama Navami is a cherished Hindu celebration that honors the birth of Rama, a revered deity in Hinduism, often recognized as the seventh incarnation of Vishnu. Revered for his embodiment of ideal kingship and humanity, Rama symbolizes righteousness, virtuous conduct, and virtue within Hinduism. This festival occurs on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the Chaitra lunar cycle (March–April).
