Mahashivaratri is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, celebrated with devotion and fasting. Observed on the 14th night of the lunar month, it symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness. Devotees visit temples, offer prayers, and perform night-long vigils. The Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal attracts thousands of pilgrims and sadhus during this occasion. It is believed that sincere worship on this day brings blessings and spiritual awakening.
