NEPSE Trips Down Painful 19.89 Points While Market Cap Stood at Rs. 32.81 Kharba: Hotels And Tourism Index Lost Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index fell by 0.95%, a decrease of 19.89 points, closing at 2,069.53 points at the end of today's trading session. This downtrend follows a 23.81-point decrease recorded in the previous trading day.

The trading day began with the index at 2,091.03 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,100.12 points. The index, however, dipped to a low of 2,065.59 points before settling at 2,069.53 points.

A total of 311 stocks were traded across 61,072 transactions today. The volume of shares traded amounted to 9,864,482, with a total turnover of Rs. 4.21 Arba. The market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 32.81 Kharba, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 11.13 Kharba.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) recorded the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 19.45 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 556.60.

 

Additionally, four companies hit the positive circuit limit today.

 

Conversely, Pokhara Finance Ltd. (PFL) saw a significant decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 691.20.

 

In sector performance, three sector indices closed in the green. The "Manufacturing and Processing" sector experienced the highest gain of 1.23%, while the "Hotels And Tourism Index" suffered a loss of 2.53%.
