NEPSE Unable To Maintain Previous Day's Gains, Sheds Significant 70.31 Points With Intraday Turnover Of Rs. 4.11 Arba.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 70.31 points, or 3.38%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,007.69 points.
Yesterday, the market experienced a staggering 6% surge, triggering a series of trading halts and culminating in the early closure of the market for the entire day. The total turnover in NEPSE amounted to an impressive Rs 37.52 Crores. The market concluded at 2,078 points, showcasing a remarkable triple-digit gain of 117.70 points.
The trading day started with the index opening at 2,094.71, hitting an intraday low of 2,003.77, and reaching an intraday high of 2,095.19.
During today's trading, there were 316 different stocks traded in 69,208 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 11,467,599 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.11 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.55 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.78 Kharba.
Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 41.91 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 493.80.
Similarly, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) showed the highest gain of 8.73%, followed by Global IME Balanced Fund-1 (GIBF1) with a gain of 7.85%.
On the flip side, Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited (BNL) experienced the highest loss of 10%, followed by Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) with a gain of 9.99%.
In terms of sector indices, Only the "Mutual Fund Index" closed in the green gaining the highest by 0.66 percent. Meanwhile, the "Others Index" lost the most with 4.35%.
