NEPSE Witnessed Loss of 0.15% to Close at 2,576.76 Levels; Banking Sector Gain Highest

The NEPSE Index fell by 4.00 points, or 0.15%, closing at 2,576.76 on the latest trading day, extending the previous session's loss of 57.03 points.

Trading began with the index at 2,584.35 points, reached a peak of 2,606.04 points, and dropped to a low of 2,551.40 points before settling at 2,576.76 points.

The session saw activity from 320 companies with 80,378 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 5.66 Arba and 13,952,121 shares traded. The market capitalization was Rs. 40.97 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 14.40 Kharba.

 

CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) topped the turnover chart with Rs. 20.58 crore, closing its shares at Rs. 1,999.

 

On the upside, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (KMCDB) reported an 8.08% gain.

 

In contrast, Goodwill Finance Limited (GFCL) experienced the most significant drop, falling by 6.77%.

 

Analyzing sector indices, only two sectors indices ended in the green. The Banking SubIndex led the gains with a 0.76% increase, while the Finance Index experienced the highest loss, declining by 2.68%.
