NEPSE Witnessed Loss of 0.42% to Close at 2,688.31 Levels; Trading Sector Gain Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit decline of 11.49 points (0.42%) to close at 2,688.31, following a double-digit 11.64-point loss in the previous session.

Opening at 2,697.52, NEPSE fluctuated throughout the day, reaching a high of 2,725.95 and a low of 2,683.28. The total turnover stood at Rs. 8.39 Arba, with 15,855,610 shares traded across 305 companies in 84,280 transactions.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led in turnover, recording transactions worth Rs. 31.16 crores. Its stock closed at Rs. 1,344.10.

Two scrips hit the 10% upper circuit, topping the gainers' list.

Meanwhile, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) saw the steepest decline, dropping 6.52%.

Among sectoral indices, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, rising 1.39%, while the Development Index saw the biggest drop, declining by 1.35%.
