NEPSE Witnessed Loss of 0.53% to Close at 2,677.62 Levels; Hotels and Tourism Sector Gain Highest

The NEPSE index concluded today's trading at 2,677.62 points, marking a loss of 14.43 points (0.53%) from the previous close. This follows an earlier significant gain of 46.69 points in the last trading session.
Opening at 2,693.81, the index saw fluctuations, peaking at 2,705.24 before hitting its intraday low of 2,671.30 points.
Today’s trading involved 305 stocks across 59,698 transactions, with 12,069,878 shares exchanged, bringing the turnover to Rs. 5.95 Arba.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led in turnover, recording Rs. 34.19 crores and closing at Rs. 1,692.
Additionally, three companies surged to hit the positive circuit.
Meanwhile, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) registered the day’s biggest loss, falling by 4.90%.
Three sector indices ended in the green, with the Hotels and Tourism Index gaining the most at 2.52%, while the Investment Index sector posted the highest loss at 1.41%.
