NEPSE Witnessed Minimal Loss of 0.19% to Close at 2,079.07 Levels; Microfinance Sector Leads with 2.43% Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 0.19%, or 3.97 points, settling at 2,079.07 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 13.51 points in the previous session.
The trading day began with the index at 2,087.8 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,096.57. The index, however, dipped to a low of 2,073.02 points before settling at 2,079.07 points.
A total of 316 stocks were traded across 59,295 transactions today. The volume of shares traded amounted to 8,820,125, with a total turnover of Rs. 4.00 Arba. The market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 32.96 Kharba, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 11.20 Kharba.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) recorded the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 14.85 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 595.
Similarly, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) showed the highest gain of 9.66%, followed by Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (HLBSL) with an increase of 6.91%.
Conversely, NIBL Stable Fund (NIBLSTF) saw a significant decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 9.00.
In sector performance, Only one sector index closed in the green. The "Microfinance Index" sector experienced the highest gain of 2.43%, while the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" suffered a loss of 1.05%.
