NEPSE Witnessed Sideways to Close at 1,960.60 Levels; Finance And Micro Finance Sectors Gain Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 0.01%, or 0.21 points, settling at 1,960.60 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 2.06 points in the previous session.
Opening at 1,961.28, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 1,968.25 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,954.22.
With a bustling trading environment, 305 stocks were exchanged in 41,137 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 5,874,967 with a total turnover of Rs. 2.54 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.08 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.52 Kharba.
First Micro Finance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FMDBL) emerged as the day's highlight with a turnover of Rs. 10.60 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 678.00.
Similarly, Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) showed the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Dolti Power Company Limited (DOLTI) with an increase of 9.74%.
Conversely, Kumari Sabal Yojana (KSY) faced a decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 8.73.
In terms of sector, the Four sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Finance Index" leading with a gain of 3.11%. However, the "Others Index" witnessed a decline of 1.15%.
