NEPSE Witnessed Single-Digit Gain of 8.26 Points; SADBL Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a gain of 0.42%, or 8.26 points, settling at 1,974.50 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 5.63 points in the previous session.

Opening at 1,973.79, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 1,981.79 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,961.89.

With a bustling trading environment, 311 stocks were exchanged in 49,764 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 7,857,031 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.15 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.30 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.60 Kharba.

 

Shangrila Development Bank Ltd. (SADBL) emerged as the day's highlight with a turnover of Rs. 10.50 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 318.10.

 

Similarly, Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SHLB) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) with an increase of 7.52%.

 

Conversely, Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBS) faced a decline, losing 5.44% to close at Rs. 1200.00.

 

In terms of sector, the Three sector Indices concluded in negative territory, with the "Non-Life Insurance Index" leading with a gain of 2.64%. However, the "Hotel and Tourism Index" witnessed a decline of 2.40%.
