NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Concludes its 6th Annual General Meeting

NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) successfully concluded its Sixth Annual General Meeting on the 6th Poush, 2080 (December 22, 2023), at Hotel Gorkha in Chatara Line, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan Ward no. 12 Dharan. The meeting covered a range of crucial organizational agendas.

The shareholders, after approving the 2079/80 board of directors' report, scrutinized the annual financial statement for the year 2080. This included the balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement, along with relevant schedules. A resolution was passed to distribute a cash dividend of 15% of the paid-up capital, amounting to Rs. 26,09,16,000/- (twenty-six crore nine lakh sixteen thousand only), to the shareholders, inclusive of tax considerations.

Mr. Deepak Dhakal, nominated by NIC Asia Bank Limited and elected unopposed through a lawful election process, joined the board as a director. Mr. Dhakal, currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at NIC Asia Bank Limited, brings a wealth of experience in the banking sector to his new role. The organization is optimistic that his expertise will contribute significantly to establishing NICLBSL as a leading, robust, and influential player among microfinance institutions.

The induction ceremony saw Mr. Deepak Dhakal taking the oath before the organization's president, Mr. Santosh Kumar Rathi, and assuming his position as director. The institution expresses confidence that Mr. Dhakal's leadership will further propel them towards achieving their organizational goals.
