NPC Approves Government's Annual Development Program and Three-Year Medium-Term Expenditure Framework
In a comprehensive session chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the National Planning Commission (NPC) has given its seal of approval to the government's annual development program and three-year medium-term expenditure framework.
Both documents are slated to be tabled in parliament alongside the budget. Emphasizing financial discipline and appropriation efficiency, Prime Minister Dahal reiterated the commitment to allocate budget according to the spending capacity of organizations. He underscored the directive for a people-oriented budget, noting Finance Minister Barshaman Pun's alignment with this vision in preparing the budget. Present at the meeting were Finance Minister Pun, NPC Vice-Chair Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha, Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, and other members and officials.
