NRB Starts Selling Gold and Silver Coins for Tihar from Today
On Thursday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) will begin selling gold and silver coins in honor of Dhanteras and Laxmi Puja for Tihar, the festival of light that begins on Saturday, 5 Kartik.
Many seekers purchase gold and silver on this day since it is thought to be lucky to purchase precious metals and household items.
According to NRB, the Mint Division in Babarmahal, Kathmandu, would be selling the gold and silver coins and as per the Division Chief, Binod Raj Acharya, the central bank will offer coins made of precious metals in different weights, including 2 gram, 5 gram, and 10 gram coins. The purity of the gold and silver coins that NRB will sell is 99.99 percent.
