NRB to issue ‘Citizen Saving Bond 2079 Ka’ worth Rs 2 arba from today

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing “Citizen Saving Bond 2079 ka” worth Rs 2 arba from today (Kartik 12, 2074).
NRB has published a notice announcing Rs 2 arba saving bonds with a maturity period of 5 years named “Citizen Saving Bond 2079 Ka”.
The last date to file for the bond has been fixed for Mangsir 1, 2074.
Interested Parties can file for bonds worth minimum Rs 10,000 and maximum bonds worth an amount not exceeding the size of total issue and divisible by 10,000 without remainder.
The bond will be allotted on Mangsir 6, 2074. The bond is being offered at a very attractive interest rate i.e. 8.50 percent per annum. The payout out of interest amount will be done in every six months.
Nagarik Bachat Patra is targeted at Nepali citizens only.
The forms can be submitted at the NRB’s Public Debt Management Department, Thapathali, Kathmandu or at the bank’s branches outside the Valley.
The bonds can be used as collateral to take loans from banks and financial institutions.
