NRB To Issue "Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2085" To Nepalese Working Abroad From Baisakh 17

Nepal Rastra Bank will be issuing a "Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2085" worth Rs 97.75 crore from 17th Baisakh to 17th Jestha, 2080. The foreign employment bond is targeted at Nepali migrant workers and non-resident Nepalese (NRNs) across the globe. This is a government bond issued by NRB on behalf of the government of Nepal. The bond will mature on 2085 BS, i.e. 5 years from now.
Interested investors can file for bonds worth a minimum of Rs 10,000 and maximum bonds worth an amount not exceeding the size of the total issue and divisible by 10,000 without remainder. The bond is offered at a very attractive interest rate of 11 percent per annum. The payout of the interest amount will be done every six months. Investors can use this bond as collateral to take loans from banks and financial institutions other than Nepal Rastra Bank itself.
The issue date is on Jestha 24, meaning interest will be counted from that day.
