NRB Updates Foreign Exchange Rates for Thursday

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for Thursday, setting the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs 135.63 and the selling rate at Rs 136.23. The exchange rates for other major currencies have also been updated, with the euro priced at Rs 142.42 for buying and Rs 143.05 for selling. Similarly, one British pound can be bought for Rs 172.45 and sold for Rs 173.22.

For regional currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 8.83, while the selling rate is Rs 8.87. One Chinese Yuan is set at Rs 18.62 for buying and Rs 18.70 for selling. Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is priced at Rs 36.10 and Rs 36.26 for buying and selling, respectively, while the Qatari Riyal is available at Rs 37.20 for buying and Rs 37.37 for selling./site/pradeep/US.jpg

The Swiss Franc is fixed at Rs 151.74 for buying and Rs 152.41 for selling. The Australian dollar stands at Rs 85.63 for buying and Rs 86.01 for selling, while the Canadian dollar is set at Rs 94.69 and Rs 95.11 for buying and selling, respectively.

High-value currencies like the Kuwaiti Dinar and Bahraini Dinar have also been updated. One Kuwaiti Dinar can be bought for Rs 440.99 and sold for Rs 442.42, whereas the Bahraini Dinar is set at Rs 352.29 for buying and Rs 353.84 for selling. The Indian Rupee, commonly used for cross-border transactions, is set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

NRB has noted that these rates may be revised as necessary. It also mentioned that commercial banks may set their own exchange rates, which could vary. For the latest and most accurate information, the public is encouraged to visit the central bank’s official website.
