On golden jubilee celebration of Beema Samiti, FM Khatiwada gives direction to increase reach of Insurance from 10% to 25% in four years

Beema Samiti successfully celebrated it Golden Jubilee amongst a program attended by various dignified personnel. The event was highlighted with the presence of Dr. Khatiwada, Finance Minister. In his speech, Khatiwada emphasized on the importance of regulatory bodies and how they pay a significant role in maintaining public trust over the system. He further stressed the need to strengthen these bodies like, Beema Samiti, Nepal Rastra Bank and Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

To commemorate the successful existence of Beema Samiti and to develop plans for the future, FM Khatiwada directed it to increase the current 10% reach of Insurance to 25% in the coming four years. Additionally, he emphasized that importance must be given to SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) and Agricultural sectors.

The other comment that piqued the interest of the listeners was his direction to empower re-insurance in our country.
