One company hits the positive circuit while hydropower companies dominate top losers list; NEPSE gains 5.31 points

The market today was in the green zone for the most part of the day, closing with gain of 0.40% or 5.31 points. The benchmark index closed at 1342.36 points today. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.08 Arba achieved through trade of 3,260,198 units of shares traded through 12,440 transactions trading scrips of 177 listed companies in the process.
Civil Bank Limited (CBL) dominated the trade today with highest turnover and most number of shares traded. The commercial bank stock posted a turnover of Rs.13.02 Crore achieved through trade of 827,440 units of shares. The LTP stood at Rs.161 per share, gaining 8.78% or 13 points today.
Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.97% or 90 points and closed at Rs.993 per share. National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) was today’s top loser after losing 6.25% or 4 points to close at Rs.60 per share. The top losers list was dominated by hydropower companies.
Sensitive Index gained 0.93 points and closed at 285.92 points while Float Index gained 0.30 points and closed at 95.23 points.
Development Banks, Hydropower, Manufacturing and Mutual Funds were among losing sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
