Over 30,000 Foreign Tourists Visit Annapurna Circuit in Asoj
A total of 30,732 foreign tourists visited the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) in Asoj, with nearly 12,000 from South Asia and over 18,700 from other regions between mid-September and mid-October. ACAP Chief Dr. Rabin Kadariya reported a surge in visitors since the second week of September and expects the number to rise further over the next two months, the peak season for tourism in the region.
Popular destinations in the Annapurna circuit include Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Peak, Ghandruk, Sikles, Khumai Danda, Tilicho Lake, Thorang La Pass, Upper Mustang, Muktinath, and Ghodepani of Myagdi. Domestic tourism has also seen an increase during this period.
