Parliamentary Committee on Cooperative Fund Misuse Extended by 14 Days
The timeline for the parliamentary investigation into the misuse of cooperative funds has been extended by 14 days. The extension was unanimously approved during today's House of Representatives (HoR) meeting after Committee President Surya Bahadur Thapa presented the proposal.
In addition to the extension, Ammar Bahadur Thapa, President of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee, presented reports on the Nepal University Bill, 2081 BS, and the Public Service Broadcasting Bill, 2081 BS, to the National Assembly.
The HoR also unanimously approved proposals to send the Securities (First Amendment) Bill, 2081 BS, and the Economic Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill, 2081 BS, to the concerned committees for clause-wise discussions.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire read out a letter from the Office of the President regarding the certification of the bill before the HoR members. The next meeting of the HoR is scheduled for 1:00 PM on September 9.
