Parliamentary Committee Summons Nepal Rastra Bank Governor for Cooperative Fund Misappropriation Inquiry
The parliamentary special committee formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative funds has called on Maha Prasad Adhikari, the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
On Monday, the committee held discussions with the Governor and other officials to address issues related to cooperatives. To identify the problems and their solutions, the committee has been conducting several meetings with officials and stakeholders.
Previously, the committee engaged in discussions with Eak Naryan Aryal, the Home Secretary; Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, the Inspector General of Nepal Police; and Shyam Gyawali, an Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG).
The committee also sought suggestions from parties in the House of Representatives (HoR) to identify and solve cooperative-related problems.
Furthermore, the committee summoned directors from 29 problematic cooperatives to address the ongoing issues.
