Personal stories amid Covid-19 lockdown; Beyond body – The mental health

Mon, Apr 27, 2020 8:10 AM on Exclusive,

Mental health is something that not all should be overlooked which we often do. First they are just minor things that we often don't give much thought about like; normal worry habits, overthinking, sorrows, seeing things through negative and doubtful perception, negative emotions et cetera. Then slowly and gradually they pile up and all of a sudden, it becomes a trap we made for ourselves. After that, its overwhelmingly difficult to get out of that and its too late sometimes. It itself becomes a disease which is hard to be cured because there's rarely a medicine to mental illness and moreover our society merely even consider it an illness.

But if we make a little effort at first to identify those symptoms at beginning and work on finding out solutions, we can be safe. Negative thoughts are haunting us most of the times. But its up to us whether to let them keep doing the same or just kick out our head. After all, your mental health and soundness is the most important aspect of your life. Every aspect of our life is associated with our mental health one way or other. The root cause of the most of our physical health problems, worsen family and social relationships, financial crisis is our mental and emotional instability which come hand to hand side by side.

So, make some time, if not more, to take care of your mental health like your physical health. Try keeping yourself engaged all the time with positive people and with positive vibrations. Avoid toxic people because they are not better, if not worse, than any intoxicant. Every little but healthy lifestyle you allow in your everyday life matters like; listening good music, praying God, visiting temple, feeding street dogs/animals, helping needy ones with your capacity, eating healthy food, having chat with closed ones and et cetera. So keep yourself not just busy but content.
